What's your LifeSong?

This past weekend at church the song LifeSong by Casting Crowns

was sung while testimonials were given. Testimonials that brought tears to the eye and joy to the heart. Testimonials to the power of God and who He is.

So I've been thinking.

What's my LifeSong?

What's yours?

My LifeSong begins with a girl who had an abortion

the day after her 17th birthday.

A girl who then self destructed for way too many years after that.

A girl who tried to hide her pain with whatever she could use to numb it.

A girl who found herself, at 23, pregnant again.

A girl who had another decision to make.

A girl who chose life because she knew another abortion would kill her.

This is the boy who will one day know that I chose life

but could have chosen death.

This is the boy who reminds me every day that life is LIFE

from the moment of conception.

How could anyone ever look at him and say something different?

This is the boy who brought me to seek healing for my past.

This is the boy who I could have missed out on.

A girl who got married under the shakiest of circumstances.

A girl who was pregnant again 9 months after giving birth to her son.

A girl whose marriage was falling apart.

This is the boy who would not have been

had I made a different decision for his big brother.

This is the boy who cemented our family together.

A girl, whose daughter was born to another woman a world away,

who God knew would become a part of our family.

A girl who was found at the bottom of a very dark pit by the one and only who could save her.

A girl whose marriage was saved because of Jesus' transformation in her life.

A girl whose family remained in tact because of Jesus

A girl who was healed from her past-abortion, by the only one who can truly heal.

A girl who walks with post-abortive women so

they can know the healing that only Jesus can give.

A girl who now stands for life.

A girl who walks with brave women who chose life and an adoption plan.

A girl who loves Jesus more than words can ever say.

A girl who Jesus is using, despite all of her wrongs.

A girl who is following Jesus with everything she has

because she knows what it is like to live without him.

A girl whose LifeSong is beautiful to God.

A girl whose LifeSong is being used to help others.
